PUBLIB91.EXE

The original FY 1991 data was made available as a self-extracting file. In DOS, if you entered that name and hit the enter key, the file extracted into:
README.TXT (107 KB)—Documentation. Located on this CD as pls1991doc.txt. PUBLIB91.TXT (3,827 KB)—ASCII data file equivalent to the public library data file
PLSUM.TXT—ASCII file of the state summary data
PLCHR91.TXT—ASCII file containing characteristics of the states' submission of data.
Three .dbf files for importing these data into a DBF file.

For this Archive, PUBLIB91.TXT was renamed to pls1991universe.txt and PLSUM.TXT was renamed to pls1991summary.txt. This action was taken for consistency and to avoid multiple files with the same name.
